Canvas toolbar shows ~pages · words · lines updated every 500ms. Colour-coded badges warn when you're at 1.5 pages (condense) or 3+ pages (too long).

Empty resumes show an in-editor wizard: upload PDF/DOCX, import LinkedIn, start from scratch, or pick a template. Step 2 captures target role; step 3 pre-fills from your career profile.
